OptanonConsent Cookie Explained

OptanonConsent is a OneTrust consent cookie used on many enterprise websites. This page briefly explains who sets it, what it does, how long it lasts, and its consent type.

Overview

Who: Set by OneTrust's Consent Management Platform (Optanon/OneTrust). What: Stores a user's cookie consent choices and which vendor categories are allowed so the site can enforce those settings. Duration: Commonly persists about 1 year (configurable by the site). Consent type: A consent/preference cookie that remembers explicit opt-in or opt-out choices; it does not itself perform tracking.
